Before my birthday fades into a distant memory, I wanted to use this milestone to fill you guys in on my life! Continue reading “Chapter 24!”
I have always liked going to San Francisco. My first memory of the city is from a trip with my Girl Scout troop in elementary school. Since then, it has been the only big city I have wanted to go back to again & again. So naturally, I had to check out their music festival, Outside Lands! If you have ever read my About page you may remember that one day I want to have a farm! So this place was basically a dream come true! Having never heard or seen anything about the 123 Farm, I had no idea what to expect. But it blew me away, complete with a lavender breeze! Continue reading “A Day at the Lavender Festival!”
The Museum of Ice Cream! You have probably seen it on Instagram & if you haven’t, then you have most likely been living under a rock this past year. But for those of you who didn’t get a $29 tickets, don’t fret! I went & ate all the stomach ache inducing deserts just so you don’t have too! Well that & I really wanted to see the pool of sprinkles for myself. Continue reading “The Museum Of Ice Cream!”
Every time I go to an event like this I leave feeling like I have learned so much. I talk to many people, have lots of different encounters, & am exposed to tons of unique world views.
Some of the people I spoke with at this years festival helped me realize it really is not as hard to accomplish your goals or make a change in your life as you may think. Everywhere I looked there was someone chasing their dreams or educating others about a cause close to their hearts. Continue reading “Life Lessons from Lightning In A Bottle! “
Mirror mirror on the wall who’s the fairest one of all? Well when it comes to the 2017 Desert X installations, id say Mirage by Doug Aitken takes the cake! This place was packed when I went. There were even people filming a video! But I am so glad I made the stop. Despite the crowds this was beautiful & worth the trip!
After attending the festival several times, you get a pretty good idea of what Coachella is like. But there is so much going on, it can be hard to figure out what you should spend your time doing. That is why I decided to go into a little more about the stages, events, & activities at Coachella in hopes it will help you have the best experience possible.
I was in High School the first time I heard of Coachella. Friends and I were planing to go to Stagecoach, a country music festival also held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA. From that year on I remember fantasizing about going to the huge music & art show in the desert. I bought tickets in 2012, but it was not until 2013 that I went for the first time.
Since then, I haven’t missed a show! Throughout the years, I have learned a few things that make the experience so much better. What some people don’t realize is that these events are HUGE. The weather, crowds, transportation, & your accommodations all play a giant part in how your weekend is going to go. Not to mention your attitude & expectations when these things get a little out of hand. My wardrobe is also something that has evolved since my first show. I’ve learned that while some trends are worth sporting, others can be more of a pain. So without further ado, here is my guide to Coachella!
For as long as I can remember art has held a special place in my heart. When I was very young my mom painted the walls of my bedroom to look like a garden. She even painted pretty scenes at my preschool. When I was in elementary school we did The Pageant of the Arts! It was a show the 4th & 5th graders put on. Each kid would get a costume & learn a dance that matched a famous Artist’s painting. Together we put on a performance that would bring the art to life & taught us the value of art at a very young age. Continue reading “Desert X – The Circle of Land & Sky”
Some of my favorite adventures are days spent exploring with friends. I am lucky enough to live close to Los Angeles, CA. With so many exciting things to do, I love taking day trips into the city & checking out fun places. A few weeks ago, a couple friends and I headed to Melrose Ave to celebrate one of their birthdays! Here is a glimpse at some of my favorite places we went!
